Greetings from SoCal Rocky

Hello all! I’m Allison, head of tech at Sins o’ The Flesh in Los Angeles, California. I and some other Sins cast members are planning a trip up to the Portland/Seattle area in January and I was wondering if your cast is going to be dark in January? I didn’t see any dates posted for shows yet. Even if you guys are dark that month, would anyone be interested in hanging out during our time there? I would really love to meet some other rocky-folk.

A bit about myself. I am a BioAnthro major at California State University Northridge. I have been a fan of Rocky for ages. The first live show I went to was when I was 13 to the Boston cast, Full Body Cast; and have been attending some-what regularly since then. I finally joined cast two years ago at Sins; but have made it a goal of mine to see as many other casts as possible. In fact, I saw your show in the summer of 2008 on a road trip of the Pacific Northwest with my best friend. Although I am primarily tech, I have also performed the roles of Dr. Frankenfurter and Eddie on our theme nights.

Anyways, I just wanted to say hello and see if I could establish contact with you guys. I remember I enjoyed your show a lot the last time I attended.

Hi Allison,

The cast does not usually go dark. I'll be sure to pass this on to someone, as most of the cast these days don't pay attention to the boards any more. :(

I wouldn't call it "dark" but we re-cast every 6 months. We try to get the new cast up and going as quickly as possible and will try to start up mid to late January for this next cast (47th). Let us know when in January you're visiting.. even if by some chance we've not started yet, we could still arrange something.

FYI Rick - I check this constantly! There just hasn't been anything new in awhile. :?

Just so's you know, we also have Facebook, Myspace and Twitter pages for the cast that might have more up-to-date info than the forums. The actual front page of the website is usually updated every week or more, as well. From what was just posted today, there are two performances in January so far: an in-theater rehearsal performance with the new cast on January 16th, and a full dress rehearsal show on the 30th. Nothing's planned before that point yet, since most time before that will be spent rehearsing (especially if there are a lot of new people in the next term). Hope this helps; we'd love to see ya!
